BMW PGA Championship Betting: No chance for the amateurs this week as top pros assemble at Wentworth
There’ll be no repeat of Shane Lowry’s odds-defying victory this week as it’s strictly professionals in Surrey. Bill Elliott will be there… The delight that cascaded over the County Louth Golf Club in Baltray on Sunday when Shane Lowry won the Irish Open was understandable.
Breaking : After Tony Kornheiser’s abrupt firing from Monday Night Football, the bald bitter broadcaster has been spotted roaming around Las Vegas craps tables betting wildly, pounding whiskey and hitting on mature, attractive vixens. He is still on the loose though. Due to his fear of flying, he may be seen busing around town with an enormous and dinosaur-looking man named John Madden.

I used up so much of my space in the Friday column on Chris Russo’s excellent quotes that I didn’t get a chance to convey what I thought of his Sirius XM show after listening to it for five hours Wednesday. Here’s one thing I found interesting: When they were “Mike and the Mad Dog,” Russo and Mike Francesa enabled each other to push the outer limits of their designated personae - one an amiable goofball, the other an arrogant know-it-all.

In my Friday column , I catch up with Christopher (Mad Dog) Russo, late of WFAN’s “Mike and the Mad Dog,” now of Sirius XM Satellite Radio’s “Mad Dog Unleashed.” Russo says that while he enjoys his new gig at Sirius XM and has no regrets about leaving WFAN, there are things about his old job he misses.
