After a day’s worth of flying — had a lengthy layover at Dallas/FTW (FTW!) — I landed at McCarran International Airport in Vegas at about 10 p.m. last evening. Garry from PokerNews met me at the baggage carousel, and when my overstuffed bag finally turned up it felt a little like I’d won at roulette
The New Orleans Saints Jeremy Shockey was taken out via stretcher from Rehab , Las Vegas’s best pool party of the week. Rehab is arguably the greatest pool party in the world
UFC 98 is Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, with light-heavyweight champ Rashad Evans defending his belt against Lyoto “Bruce Leroy” Machida, and Matt Hughes and Matt Serra finally meeting in a co-main event heralded as a grudge match but more akin to “Oh Jeez, Just Get the Damn Fight Over With” bout. Anyhoo, here’s a list of things that won’t happen at UFC 98: Machida will not move forward.
We’re getting close, peoples. Just a week more and satellites get crankin’ at the Rio
Breaking : After Tony Kornheiser’s abrupt firing from Monday Night Football, the bald bitter broadcaster has been spotted roaming around Las Vegas craps tables betting wildly, pounding whiskey and hitting on mature, attractive vixens. He is still on the loose though. Due to his fear of flying, he may be seen busing around town with an enormous and dinosaur-looking man named John Madden.

Champions League Betting: Chelsea v Barca - Same game, different interpretations
Frank Gregan has been travelling around the Iberian Peninsula and found to his amazement how meeting different people from different places who support different teams can provide such different interpretations of a football match, in this case last week’s controvesial Chelsea v Barcelona. I’ve been gadding around a bit these last couple of weeks and having watched Barcelona destroy Real Madrid in a local bar in Spain frequented by a multitude of Barcelona fans I decided to watch the Chelsea/Barcelona game in the same place just to experience a different feel for the game. The place was jammed packed before kick off and the atmosphere was electric.
